Preheat your grill or stovetop grill pan over medium-high heat.
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until the seasonings are evenly distributed throughout the meat.
Divide the seasoned ground beef into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick.
Place the burger patties on the preheated grill or grill pan and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. For medium-rare burgers, aim for an internal temperature of 130-135°F (54-57°C), and for medium burgers, aim for 140-145°F (60-63°C).
Once the burgers are cooked to your liking, remove them from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes.
While the burgers are resting, lightly toast the hamburger buns on the grill.
Assemble your burgers by placing each cooked patty on a toasted bun and adding your favorite toppings such as lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, pickles, ketchup, mustard, or mayonnaise.
Serve the classic beef burgers hot and enjoy the juicy, flavorful goodness!
